Meeting – April 11, 7-9pm

Vegetable Gardening in Raised Beds

Jessie Banhazl, Founder of Green City Growers, will be speaking on the topic of growing your own food.

Jessie Banhazl is the co-founder and owner of Green City Growers, a 3-year-old, Somerville-based business specializing in installing and maintaining raised bed vegetable gardens. GCG works with home owners, schools, assisted-living centers, businesses, restaurants and houses of worship. Coming from a television production background, Jessie has refreshing insights as to how we can change the way people think about food. Green City Growers is the only company of its kind offering cutting edge solutions to growing food in small spaces such a back alleys, roofs, tiny yards, and porches.

All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at the Tufts Administration Building, (TAB), 167 Holland Street, second floor, wheelchair accessible. Parking is available, and the building is a ten-minute walk from the Davis Square MBTA stop.
